Independence Day

Also called the Fourth of July, Independence Day is a national holiday that celebrates America’s declared independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776. American cities across the country celebrate by hosting festivals, parades, and, most importantly, fireworks shows. Schools are closed and most people have the day off. Many people schedule picnics and other get-togethers on this day.
