Sugarcane Jane, otherwise known as Anthony Crawford and Savana Lee from L.A. (Loxley, Alabama) — have been Americana’s go-to husband-wife duo from Alabama’s Gulf Coast for over a decade. Between them, they have amassed a rich musical heritage working with such notables as Neil Young, Steve Winwood, and Dwight Yoakam. The music they make together is simple and direct, rooted in country and rock, and anchored by their sweet and soulful harmonies.
After a request from Dwight Yoakam to put a backing band behind them and join his Fall 2019 Northeast Tour as support act, they welcome longtime friends, The Bucket Fillers, to their ensemble – a staggering and undeniable amount of talent now charges the stage – Pete Nice on pedal steel, lap steel, and mandolin, Leif Bondarenko on drums, and Gary Edmonds on electric guitar, all hailing out of Birmingham, Alabama.
